Achieving Business Excellence
A workshop for creating outstanding personal and professional results

Most people recognise that effective business relationships are key to business success. This is best achieved through a deeper understanding of how other people operate and a recognition of your own potential strengths and limitations, so you can determine the most effective strategy for managing that relationship.

This four-day (2x2 days) workshop concentrates on the interpersonal skills and levels of self-awareness that differentiate true exemplars in the field of human communication and influence. It provides the double benefit of exploring effective and practical ways of using existing skills and expertise, with a number of new and innovative tools designed to provide the 'how to' so often missing from more traditional approaches to professional development.

Specifically it will highlight the fact that even the best qualified and competent professionals will significantly increase their overall long-term effectiveness through the adoption and utilisation of these techniques.

Overall Outcomes
As a result of attending this workshop, participants will ...
  • Have developed strategies to define the desired outcome from any interaction, and maximise commitment and engagement in the process.
  • Have explored strategies for assessing individual behavioural traits and communication styles, in order to be able to adapt their approach and increase the likelihood of achieving the desired outcome(s).
  • Be able to develop faster, deeper levels of rapport and influence, whether this is over the telephone, face-to-face or via written communication.
  • Have developed the ability to consciously recognise when rapport (and therefore their influence) has broken down, and the skills to re-establish the relationship in order to move forward.
  • Understand the way in which values drive behaviour and the implications of this in terms of individual mindsets and actions.
  • Have an increased awareness of the bigger system within which any individual or situation operates, so that any intervention will be more sustainable - because external influences, constraints or pressures will have been identified.
  • Have practised strategies for turning an initial "no" into a committed and congruent "yes".
  • Have an increased awareness of the impact they are having in any situation and the ability to manage/change their reactions when required.
  • Have increased confidence in their ability to respond to challenging situations - especially when dealing with so-called 'difficult' people.
  • Have developed strategies for recognising and overcoming potential barriers to change in themselves and/or others.

Outline Content

Module One (2 days)
  • Key Principles and Concepts for the Programme - Introduction to NLP, Systems Thinking & Emotional Intelligence (EQ).
  • Increasing Influence and Impact - Recognising your own and other peoples' preferences in communication and thinking style and adapting your approach to meet their needs.
  • Increasing Achievement - Defining the result you want from any interaction (short & long-term) and establishing criteria for success.
  • Increasing Influence through Rapport - Strategies to increase your ability to establish and maintain rapport, especially when it does not occur naturally.
  • Increasing Precision and Effectiveness of Language - Getting beyond the presenting symptoms of a problem situation in order that a resolution can be achieved more quickly.
  • Logical Levels of Thinking and Change - Identifying at what level (or levels) a particular intervention has to be pitched for it to be sustainable over time.
  • Choosing Your Most Effective Emotional State - Developing your ability to change your response to something (or someone) negative.
Module Two (2 days)
  • Review of Learning - Review of experiences between modules and questions arising.
  • Using Your Brain for a Change - Taking control of your own mind and ways of thinking.
  • Using Empowering Beliefs to Increase Effectiveness - Exploring generic 'beliefs' held by people with highly developed influencing skills, in order to increase your own flexibility of thinking and behaviour.
  • Gaining a Deeper Understanding of People and Their Values - Exploring how values affect our thoughts and actions, and using deeper drivers and values to increase influence.
  • Taking Multiple Perspectives - Making sense of apparently irrational or unreasonable behaviours and creating more choice of action.
  • Changing a "No" into a "Yes" - Increasing understanding of the other's perceptions and creating 'yes-able' propositions.
  • A 'Systems' Approach to Problem Solving - Unlocking a situation that is 'stuck' in some way, or achieving an unfulfilled outcome.

Workshop Style and Approach
Our aim is to create a learning environment which is both challenging and supportive to participants. Each session is highly practical in nature, full interactive and tailored to meet the needs and interests of the group.

We intentionally keep our group sizes small (usually 6-12 participants). This approach encourages increased ownership of the issues discussed and highlights their relevance and transferability into participants' day-to-day working environment

Delegates who have attended this course, having experienced other development programmes, consistently comment on the clarity, practicality and ease of understanding provided by the Vievolve facilitators. This is supported by the comprehensive set of full-colour notes which each delegate receives.

NLP in Business
This programme provides an amazing introduction to the personal and team development opportunities available through Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), together with continuous linkage to how to incorporate NLP tools and techniques at work, even in the most challenging of environments.

If you ...
  • ... have heard that NLP is extremely powerful but been concerned by suspicion that it is manipulative
  • ... have decided to do an NLP course but been put off by the large group sizes that seem so common among many providers
  • ... have a desire to understand how to use NLP in an holistic fashion across a range of business applications
  • ... want to study with the most experienced "NLP in Business" team in the UK
  • ... want a set of practical tools to lead and manage change in a difficult environment
  • ... are interested in ways of enhancing communication throughout the business

... then this programme is for you.

Attendance on this 4-day workshop, qualifies for accreditation at INLPTA NLP Diploma level.
This course also forms the first stage of the NLP Business Practitioner programme, if you should decide to develop your NLP training further with us.
