Consultancy

We provide targeted, highly focused consultancy services in the UK and overseas. Our approach ensures that you, the client, maintain ownership of the issues and their resolution but, through our partnering with you, you gain sustainable, transferable skills which will still be relevant long after the specific intervention is over.

Why choose Vievolve?
We minimise the cost of any intervention by:
  • Focusing on the outcomes you want
  • Defining and agreeing criteria for success ahead of any process
  • Testing for the leverage points for action
  • A collaborative, partnering approach to reduce time taken to resolve the issues
Vievolve’s Directors each have nearly twenty years experience of high level consultancy in Europe, Africa and the Middle East so we know the questions to ask that are likely to lead to sustainable results for you. In addition we have a team of specialised associates who can bring high level expertise to specific requirements.

Our confidential consultancy services cover six main areas:
  • Change Management – specific interventions designed to identify and utilise the critical factors that will make that desired change achievable.
  • Partnering – learn how to incorporate the essential characteristics that will move your commercial partnering arrangements into that limited gene pool where partnering actually works to the benefit of all parties.
  • Modelling High Performance – identifying what it is that an exemplary performer in your business does (for example in sales, consultancy, debt collection or problem-solving) that the typical employee does not have.
  • Mediation – rapid interventions to help resolve those issues for which you may not have internal resources (for example, in small and medium size enterprises).

Meetings Facilitation
We provide expert facilitators whose experience and commitment is there to get you and your colleagues to where you say you want to be, recognising and resolving all crucial issues on the way.

Examples of recent interventions have included meetings to facilitate ...
  • High risk capital investment decisions
  • Challenging relationship issues inside a senior team
  • High value commercial negotiation preparation
  • Future organisational strategy
The significance of our contribution to you is based on our ability to listen very carefully to what is being said, identify where the risks, gaps and alternative opportunities might be and then testing commitment to what you say you are going to do.

Change Management
It is often said that over 80% of all significant change initiatives fail. We therefore put our attention on the 20% or so that work. Over 20 years ago, psychologist David McClelland suggested that there were three requirements that have to be met for any change to be sustainable over time:

People must be ...
  • ... Willing to change ... if they are not, this becomes a motivation issue
  • ... Able to change ... if they are not, this becomes a competency or development issue
  • ... Not be prevented form changing ... if they are, this is a "systemic" issue.
Simple though it is, this framework still provides a place to start with any change intervention.

One of the commonest problems is that people address the presenting issues without necessarily getting at the underlying root cause – we are skilled at considering the complete “system” within which any given change is required. This means that we are uniquely placed to help you identify and act on those factors that will actually deliver the results you require. We pride ourselves on our ability to facilitate change processes more cost effectively than you would think possible.

Partnering
Partnering is a potentially high risk strategy that can reap significant rewards when done well … the problem is that it is not done well all that often. There are often conflicts of power and accountability, undeclared agendas and sometimes simple unpreparedness for what partnering entails when at its best. Vievolve brings together the best practice available from UK Government sources with our own unique approach which opens up discussion on the underlying Values that will drive the initiative to succeed … or to fail. For example, trust is often quoted as being essential in any partnering agreement … and it is. However, in most situations there is insufficient historical evidence between potential Partners to create such an atmosphere. This is where we can provide you with maximum assistance to help you define what criteria will be crucial for eventual success.

Modelling High Performance
This is potentially one of the highest value (and rarest) skills we offer. It provides you with the insight to identify exactly what it is that someone who excels in a particular field does that an average performer does not do. Once identified, these critical factors are usually way outside of the conscious awareness of both performer and their colleagues. Using this service gives you two very high value benefits:
  • The ability to train other members of the team in the distinguishing characteristics, so that their performance rises by a measurable amount.
  • The opportunity to build the additional information into your recruitment and selection processes.
Mediation
This service is particularly relevant for small and medium sized organisations where you may not have the resources to handle contentious relationship-based issues that have gone beyond the confidence (or competence) level of the line manager. Each intervention, by its very nature, is unique so please contact us to discuss your requirements in confidence, and at no risk.

Executive Coaching - Individual
This is a service that is available on a 'one-off' basis or over a series of regular scheduled sessions. Coaching can be done face-to-face, over the telephone or via email and, unusually in this field, there is no requirement for a minimum commitment.

Executive Coaching – Team
Interventions may involve individual interviews with managers or executives prior to bringing the team together for resolution. It can be combined with your routine meetings to minimise disruption to your business.
